INN-Reach Admin Diagnostics

Links under the Message History and Diagnostics heading on the INN-Reach Admin tool home page (or on the Diagnostics menu) offer options for API message history, circulation exceptions, and contribution exceptions.

API Message Diagnostics

Click API Message Diagnostics under the Message History and Diagnostics heading to track your local server's inbound and outbound API messages for a selected time period. The example shows messages for "Today". Both inbound messages were successful and there have been no outbound messages. The bar graph shows messages by time.

The following example shows a portion of the message diagnostics screen for the past 30 days.

When a patron initially places an INN-Reach request, the INN-Reach central system assigns a tracking number that persists through the request cycle. You can search for related transaction messages by tracking ID. Enter the number in the Tracking ID box and click the search icon.

Note:
You can also click a tracking ID in the message list to search for messages with that tracking ID.

The screen displays the messages associated with the tracking ID.

Message Diagnostics for INN-Reach Peer-to-Peer Transactions

If your library participates in INN-Reach Peer-to-Peer Circulation (see INN-Reach Peer-to-Peer Circulation) and more than one Central has been defined in the InnReachCentrals table, a column displays the Central code.

Tracking IDs are not unique across Central servers. The same Tracking ID may appear for two different Central servers.

In that case, you can click a Tracking ID link to filter the list of API messages to messages from the Central associated with that hold request.

Circulation Exceptions

If the system has recorded outgoing circulation API exceptions, the Circulation Exceptions option under the Message History and Diagnostics heading shows a summary number of exceptions.

Click Circulation Exceptions to view details about the circulation API exceptions.

Select the message checkbox(es) and click Requeue Selected or Delete Selected to requeue or delete the selected message(s).

Note:
You need the INN-Reach administration: Modify permission to requeue or delete circulation exception messages.

Contribution Exceptions

If the system has recorded outgoing record contribution API exceptions, the Contribution Exceptions option under the Message History and Diagnostics heading shows a summary number of exceptions.

Click Contribution Exceptions to view details about the contribution API exceptions.

Select the message checkbox(es) and click Requeue Selected or Delete Selected to requeue or delete the selected message(s).
